Here’s an article from Issue 13 (April / May 1999) of ‘Trident’ – the Jack Lilley magazine.  It’s a road test review of the then-new Triumph Sprint ST written by our very own in-house bike journalist Geoff Haigh (salesman at our Ashford branch).

The Sprint ST (Sports Tourer) was one of the most important new bikes on the market in 1999, designed to compete with machines such as Honda’s popular VFR800.  The Sprint ST was more ‘Sports’ than ‘Tourer’, using the well-proven 955 series engine tuned for 110 bhp on this machine.

The Sprint ST was well received my the motorcycle press and public alike.  Geoff’s road test shows the machine was clearly a strong all-rounder and a further indication of Triumph’s ability to deliver competent, exciting machines to all sectors of the market.
