Spotlight on the Triumph Tiger XRT

XRT01Triumph have taken the road-focused Tiger XR and added a stack of additional equipment to create the Tiger XRT, making it the top of the road-focused Tiger XR range.  Like all models in the Tiger 800 range, the Tiger XRT comes with traction control, switchable ABS and ride-by-wire throttle control as standard. The Tiger XRT comes with the following on top of the standard XR model:

– Cruise control
– 3 Rider Modes
– Enhanced instruments including self-cancelling indicators
– 2 Additional power sockets
– Heated rider & pillion seats
– Adjustable screen
– Handguards
– Centrestand
– TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System)
– CNC machined rear brake reservoir
– Aluminium radiator guard
– Uprated 650w alternator
– Aluminium pannier rails
– GPS mounting kit
– Heated grips
– Auxiliary fog lights

The 3 rider modes are ‘Road’, ‘Off-Road’ and ‘Rider’ which allows various configurations of ABS, Traction Control and Throttle Maps (there are 4 throttle map settings to choose from). / Like all the new Tigers, the XRT comes with Triumph’s 800cc triple cylinder power unit which pumps out a healthy 95PS.  Engine improvements have improved fuel economy by 17% on the urban cycle compared to the previous model.
