Triumph have just announced an all-new Tiger Explorer range comprising 8 different models in total.
The new Explorer range was unveiled by Triumph at the Milan Bike Show yesterday.
The new model benefits from more power and torque from the 1215cc engine (exact figures are yet to be announced) and a host of electrical updates including traction control and switchable ABS, and on some models WP semi-active suspension, a hill-hold control system and cornering ABS & cornering Traction Control,
Like the Tiger 800 range, the new Explorer come in 2 flavours – the road-orientated XR models with cast wheels and the XC series which are more off-road focused with spoked wheels.
So including 2 low-seat models, there are 8 new bikes altogether: The Explorer XR, Explorer XRX, Explorer XRX Low, Explorer XRT, Explorer XC, Explorer XCX, Explorer XCX Low and range-topping Explorer XCA.
We don’t have exact details of the spec of each model as yet but we will update our website with more information as we receive it from Triumph.
We do know that the XRT and XCA will be equipped with lean angle ABS and traction control systems which use an Inertial Measurement Unit to deliver the appropriate amount of power or braking for different angles of lean.
All models come with Brembo brake calipers, a new exhaust system and a lighter clutch.
