Spotlight on the Triumph Explorer XC

explorerxc

Like the Tiger 800 range, the Explorer is split into road-focused ‘XR’ models and off-road orientated ‘XC’ models.  All are available in 3 levels of spec.  There are also 2 low-seat versions available – the XRX Low and XCX Low.  The all-new Triumph Explorer XC is the entry level model in the off-road orientated ‘XC’ range.

The new Explorer range features improved ergonomics, improved performance, WP suspension across the range, ABS, Traction Control, and an electronically adjustable screen on all models.

Here’s a quick overview of the features included on the Explorer XC:

ABS & Traction Control
‘Road’ and ‘Rain’ riding modes
Electrically adjustable screen
WP adjustable front & rear suspension
Brembo monobloc 4-piston radial calipers
Centre stand
Immobiliser
12V power socket
USB power socket
On Board computer
Sump guard
Spoked wheels for tubeless tyres

All Explorers come with Triumph’s 3-cylinder 12 valve, 1215cc  engine that generates incredible linear torque and power from the largest capacity engine in the segment.

A torque assist clutch reduces lever effort and long-term rider fatigue. All Explorers come with a 6 speed gearbox with a high top gear to make long-distance cruising easy and maximises fuel efficiency. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through low-maintenance shaft drive.
