We asked your to share your bike stories with us. Here’s Keith Gibbons telling us about his 2001 Daytona 955i Race Replica.
“I bought my Jack Lilley Daytona after a mate pointed to an advertisement in Auto Trader and said ‘look Gibbo, someone has built you a bike.’
“It is a 2001 double sided swinging arm Daytona 955i with just about everything on it. Berringer 6 pots, carbon fibre mudguard and fairing infills, high level carbon race can, billet rear sets, Dymag Carbon/magnesium wheels, single race seat, Maxton tweeted suspension and a lovely paint job. The only thing I added was a Brembo gold rear calliper to replace the heavy single piston one.
“It’s been on many track days and used on the road including a trip which took in the World Superbike meeting at Monza and the GP at Le Mans on consecutive weekends.
Can’t ever imagine parting with it.”
