Meet the Team! It’s Clive Watson.

We’re running a short series of ‘Meet The Team’ articles, in which we find out a bit more about our staff members and the sort of thing they get up to in their spare time.  We asked Clive Watson, (After Sales at our Ashford branch)  a few questions…

Q/ Tell us a bit about your current bike (s):

A/ I’m between bikes at the moment.  I sold my Speed Triple and now fancy an old classic that needs a lot of TLC… So I’m keeping my eyes open for a ‘basket case barn-find bargain’.

Q/ Do you have any particular hobbies / interests?

A/ Golf, video photography and editing, tinkering and pottering the the garage and playing guitar.

My eldest son made me a Grandad 3 years ago and spoiling a Grandson must be a hobby, right?

Q/ Any recent projects or achievements?

A/ I recently finished and two & a half year nut & bolt classic Mini restoration project which I really enjoyed.  My son drove it for 2 years before we sold it to the famous DJ Carl Cox earlier this year.  My wife said she would sell her car and use it – until she drove it and found no brakes, no heater (well, either hot or off) , no power steering, no air con, no room – and a choke!  She hated it but she says it was lovely to look at on the drive.

I’ve also just finished building an electric guitar (see photos below).  But there’s something wrong with it because I still play rubbish…

Q/ Tell us a something most people don’t know about you…

A/ I once met the actor Daniel Day Lewis and told him he looked like a porn star before someone told me who he was!
